Town Board Monthly meeting @ 7:00 pm

 

          PRESENT:  Chairperson-Carl Mundth, Supervisor I-Rebecca Klitzke, Supervisor II-Chad Allen, Clerk-Rebecca Meyer, Treasurer-Kathy Schwartz

          ALSO, PRESENT:  Clark Thompson, Terri Connors

1. Town Board Monthly Meeting Called to order at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance
2. Clerk R. Meyer certified that the meeting met the criteria of open meetings law by being on the town website and on the door of the town hall.
3. Agenda reviewed. Motion by Klitzke / Allen to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
4. The minutes were reviewed from the May meeting. Motion by Allen / Klitzke to approve the May minutes. Motion carried.
5. The minutes from the Emergency meeting held on Monday, May 25 @ 7:00 were read. Motion by Mundth / Allen to approve the Emergency Meeting Minutes.  Motion carried
6. Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda.  No one spoke.
7. Ambulance report – David Allen attended the meeting and we haven’t received any report.
8. Highway report by Clark Thompson

v Issued two driveway permits.

v All the roads are prepped with patch to begin sealcoating

v Fahrner will fill the cracks in the parking lot.

v South Slope resident is upset that the garbage truck is turning round in their driveway and their culvert is not the best as it is.

9. Building Inspector Report: Building permits issued by GEC – report given by Clerk Meyer

v Lynette Meister @ E5040A Hwy K for a Detached Garage

v Steve & Donna Clark @ S4228 Golf Course Rd for a re-roof project

10. Supervisors and Chairperson Reports:

v C. Allen - Supervisor II – Nothing at this time

v R. Klitzke – Supervisor I – Communications with Ivy Hoege

v C. Mundth – Chairperson – Looked at Horkan Rd with Town of Excelsior regarding how the water flows.  There is a speed bump with a culvert there currently.  After further Review, they decided not to put a new culvert in at that spot.  However, they decided to install a culvert up further in the Town of Excelsior.  This topic has been tabled with the Town of Excelsior until the two towns come up with an agreement on how the work is split.  Carl did call Westbrook Engineering to give them the go ahead with the engineering of Prairie View Bridge.  Motion by Klitzke / Allen to replace the discolored light in the Hall for $190.  Motion carried.  Talked with Steve Statz about the heat runs in the ceiling.  Once the ceiling is down Steve will come in and take a look and get a better idea of wrapping the heat runs and replace the current ceiling registers.  Thanks to Lunch Box Express for the WTA meeting catering. 

11. Clerk R. Meyer presented Monthly Bills to be paid.  Motion by Allen / Klitzke to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried.
12. Treasurer report given by K. Schwartz

v Last month there was deposit for $2,783.24 from the State of WI that was sent to TOR in error and reimbursed.

v $2,842.28 Deposit – ($50 - Driveway Permit, $870 – Hall Rent, $80 - Special Assessment letters, $100 – WTA Unit Meeting,  $1,742.28 - Recycling Grant)

13. Calendar Dates

v Plan Commission –July 25, Aug 22, Sept 26 & Oct. 24 @7:00 pm

v Town Board meetings: July 11, August 8, Sept. 12 & Oct. 10 @ 7:00 pm

v Election Dates: August 9 and November 8

14. Reasonably related to agenda.  Nothing at this time.
15. Motion by Allen / Klitzke to adjourn the monthly Town Board Meeting at 7:48 pm.  Motion carried.
