Monday, January 9, 2023
Monthly Town Board Meeting
at 7:15 pm or immediately following the Town Caucus
at the Reedsburg Town Hall
All Items on the agenda are listed for discussion and possible motion

         1.         Call Meeting to order at 7:13 pm at 7:15 pm by Chairperson C. Allen.

         2.         Certify Open Meetings Law has been met by Clerk R. Meyer by being on the town website and on the door of the town hall.

         3.         Adopt Agenda Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the agenda with the change of the meeting being called to order at 7:14 instead of 7:00. Motion carried unanimously.

         4.         Approve minutes from previous meeting Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve the December monthly meeting minutes with corrections.  Motion carried unanimously.

         5.         Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes. Carl Mundth spoke about concerns of the City of Reedsburg being on the agenda without the boundary agreement being signed. 

         6.         Discuss and request approval for Roadway & Utility Easement from the City of Reedsburg for the area generally located in the Right of Way on Golf Course Road between Skinner Drive and Labansky Road. Steve Zibell presented where Skinner Drive is be installed, the Roundabout at STH 136 and STH 33, the traffic lights at STH 33 and Golf Course Rd.  These will happen this next year.  Motion by Klitzke / Allen to recommend approval of the Roadway & Utility Easement on Golf Course Road between Skinner Drive and Labansky Road with the contingency of the boundary agreement being approved as soon as possible.  Motion carried unanimously.

         7.         Discuss and request approval for Sanitary Sewer Easement from the City of Reedsburg for the area generally located in the Right of Way on Golf Course Road between Skinner Drive and the Baraboo River   Steve Zibell presented where the new waste treatment plant plans to be built and how the flow will take place.  The plan is to install it down Golf Course Road.  At that time the City of Reedsburg would replace Golf course to the Town specifications with a new base and shoulders.  Motion by Connors / Klitzke to approve Sanitary Sewer Easement generally located in the Right a Way on Golf Course Rd between Skinner Drive and the Baraboo River contingent on signatures of a boundary agreement and the replacement of Golf Course Rd. be replaced to Town of Reedsburg specifications.  Motion carried unanimously.

         8.         Ambulance Report by R. Klitzke - There was not an ambulance meeting in December the next one is the end of January.

         9.         Assessors Report by R. Meyer – Bob was emailed the 2022 building permits and I requested to get our dates set for the Open Book and Board of Review.  Re-eval to be completed in 2024.

      10.       Highway Report by C. Thompson

v A few issues with the air filter plugging up on the plow truck

v Almost in an accident with the white truck.

v Replaced the batteries in the grader

v The bridge on Prairie View Bridge is almost completed.

      11.       Building Inspector (GEC) report by R. Meyer

v Kristy & Steve Weber @ E5856 LaValle Street for a 2-story attached garage w/ living space.

v Chris Christner @ S4452 Grote Hill Rd for an addition to the house.

      12.       Chairman / Supervisor Reports and comments

v T. Connors - Supervisor II – Nothing at this time

v R. Klitzke – Supervisor I – Nothing at this time

v C. Allen – Chairperson – Received an email about a building for a sand or salt, we are not interested.

      13.       Town Clerk presentation of monthly bills and comments by R. Meyer Motion by Connors / Klitzke to pay the monthly bills as presented. Motion carried unanimously. 

      14.       Treasures Report and comments by K. Schwartz

v 770,643.12 received in taxes in December

v $413.00 – (Special assessment letters - $40, Hall Rent - $120, Cemetery lot - $200, Building permits - $53)

      15.       Review upcoming dates:  Plan Commission / Town Board

v Plan Commission – Jan 23, Feb 27, March 27 & April 24@ 6:30 pm

v Town Board meetings: Feb 13, Mar 6 & Apr 10 @ 7:00 pm

v Elections – Set up February 16 – February 21, Set up March 30 – April 4

      16.       Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting). Carl Mundth congratulated the current board for the winnings at the caucus.

      17.       Adjourn Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adjourn the monthly Town Board Meeting at 8:40 pm.  Motion carried unanimously.
