Monthly Town Board Meeting
at 7:15 pm at Town Hall

PRESENT:  Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors, Rebecca Meyer, Clark Thompson, Kathy Schwartz (7:49),

ALSO PRESENT;  Pat Anderson, James Wakup, Carl Thorsen.

1.   Call Meeting to order at 7:15 pm with Pledge of Allegiance – C. Allen called the meeting to order @ 7:20pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.

2.   Certify Open Meetings Law has been met- R. Meyer certified that the open meetings law has been met by having an agenda posted on the Town website and Town hall door.

3.   Adopt Agenda – Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the May 8, 2022 Agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

4.   Approve minutes from previous meeting – Motion by Connors / Klitzke to approve the minutes from the April 2023 meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.

5.   Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes.

6.   Update on Prairie View Bridge – Chair C. Allen gave an update - Paving and shouldering were completed the week of April 28th.  During one of Nick’s site visits, Clark and Nick noticed that the braces for the headwalls on both ends of the culvert are not level and the board noticed this during their visit as well.  Nick has brought this to Radtke's attention and they are working on a solution with the supplier of the box culvert (Contech).  Radtke informed Nick that it was installed level to begin with, but either way it will get fixed. 

7.   Open Sealed Bids for 2023 Various Aggregates- Ray Zobel & Sons were the only sealed bid received for Various Aggregates.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to accept the Bid presented from Ray Zobel & Sons. Motion Carried.

8.   Open Sealed Bids for 2023 Road Project- Sealed bids were received from DL Gasser ($23,250) and Scott Construction ($35,485) for Paving Buckeye Rd.  Sealed bids were received from Fahrner ($22,366) and Scott Construction ($19,606) for Chip Sealing Oak Crest.  Motion by Connors / Klitzke to accept the bid from DL Gasser for Paving Buckeye Rd. for $23,250.  Motion by Allen / Klitzke to accept the bid from Fahrner for $22,366 for Seal Coating Oak Crest.  2 Aye / 1 Nay. Motion Carried.

9.   Nominate Town Treasurer – Motion by Klitzke / Connors to open nominations,  Connors nominated Kathy Schwartz to be the Town of Reedsburg appointed Treasurer, seconded by Klitzke.  Klitzke / Connors close Nomination.  Kathy Schwartz has been Nominated as Town Treasurer for a three-year term.  Motion carried unanimously.  

10.                Assessors Report by R. Meyer - Nothing

11.                Highway Report by C. Thompson

a.   Last week ditching on Herritz Road.

b.   Hauled gravel over to Ed Schneider and on the Herritz Rd Spur and HWY 154 Spur.

c.    Spring Green truck should be coming in the next month or so.

12.                Building Inspector (GEC) report by R. Meyer

a.   Carl Behn @ S4739 County Rd CH for a Roof Mount Solar Install

b.   Scott Klitzke @ S4791 Golf Course Rd for a Farm Shop

c.    Todd Klitzke @ E5968 Cty Rd S for a shed

13.                Chairman / Supervisor Reports and comments

a.   Terri Connors –  Nothing

b.   Rebecca Klitzke – WTA is Thursday, May 18 at Town of LaValle, attended Board of Review training.

c.    Chad Allen – Sauk County letter for Bridge aid / Ed Brooks files

14.                Town Clerk presentation of monthly bills and comments by R. Meyer – Motion by Connors / Klitzke to pay the presented bills

15.                Treasures Report and comments by K. Schwartz –

a.   ACH Deposit – Lottery Credit - $9,486.49

b.   Deposits - $1,479.77 ($1,000 – Hall Rent, $94 – Building Permits, $385.77 – PILT)

16.                Review upcoming dates:  Plan Commission / Town Board

a.    Plan Commission –May 22, June 26, and July 24 @ 6:30 pm

b.    Town Board  –June 12, July 10, and August 14 @ 7:00 pm

c.    Open Book – May 15 @ 4pm – 6pm

d.    Board of Review – May 22 @ 7pm – 9pm

17.                Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting). – Clark is on Vacation June 3^rd – June 10^th.

18. Adjourn – Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adjourn at 8:35pm.  Motion carried unanimously
