Monthly Town Board Meeting
at 7:00 pm at Town Hall


PRESENT:  Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors, Clark Thompson, Rebecca Meyer and Kathy Schwartz

  1. Call Meeting to order at 7:00 pm with Pledge of Allegiance – C. Allen called the meeting to order @ 7:00pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. Certify Open Meetings Law has been met- R. Meyer certified that the open meetings law has been met by having an agenda posted on the Town website and Town hall door.
  3. Adopt Agenda – Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the August 7, 2023 Agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.
  4. Approve minutes from previous meeting – Motion by Connors / Klitzke to approve the minutes from the July 2023 meeting with a few changes.  Motion carried unanimously.
  5. Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes - No one present  
  6. Review Garbage / Recycling pickup Contract with Peterson Sanitation – Get Quotes from two or three different companies for sealed bids September meeting
  7. Review Building Permit Contract with GEC / Dennis Butteris  – discussion took place about lack of communication from Dennis Butteris when contacted from town residents.  No action taken at this time but may look into different options if this doesn’t change.
  8. Ambulance report by R. KlitzkeThere was an information meeting that Rebecca Klitzke attended and reported on. See attached notes.  There will be another meeting on August 22.
  9. Assessors Report by R. Meyer – Bob has replied to Kathy’s emails and will be working with Becky to getting them resolved.
  10. Highway Report by C. Thompson

a.   Driveway Permit to Todd Schrank on N. Golf Course Rd. for a field road. He will be building a shed later on.

b.   All the Coils and Sparks plugs had to be replaced on the truck that we got from Spring Green.  It is at Hellenbrand’s.

c.    Culverts have been put in on Herritz Rd. by Zobel’s

d.   A 4-foot section has been put on the culvert on Lane Rd.

e.   There has been an offer of $5,000 on the old white plow truck.  The Town was asking $10,000.  We will counter offer $7,500.

a.   Marilyn Hoffman @ S3773 Thieman Hill Rd for a Shed

b.   Florence Abbs @ S2695A County Rd V for a new Deck

  1. Chairman / Supervisor Reports and comments

a.   Terri Connors –  Nothing

b.   Rebecca Klitzke – Received a call about not able to get ahold of Building Inspector,  Sauk county Unit meeting.

c.    Chad Allen – Letter from Jewell

  1. Town Clerk Presentation of monthly bills and Comments by R. Meyer -  Motion by Connors / Klitzke to pay the presented bills.
  2. Treasures Report  

a.   ACH Deposit – Computer Aid - $6.24

b.   ACH Deposit – Shared Revenue - $7,511.35

c.    ACH Deposit – 2% Fire Dues - $5,567.26

d.   Deposits - $67,164.24 ($900– DMV Hall Rent, $50 – Special Assessment Letters, $66,214.24 – August Settlement)

  1. Review upcoming dates:  Plan Commission / Town Board
    1. Plan Commission –August 28, Sept. 25 & Oct. 23 @ 6:30 pm
    2. Town Board  – Sept. 18, Oct. 9 and Nov. 13 @ 7:00 pm
  1. Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting).. K. Schwartz brought up the rural roads grant.
  2. Adjourn – Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adjourn at 8:38 pm.  Motion carried unanimously

Reedsburg Ambulance Service Commission

July 25, 2023

The meeting began with a call to order and the approval of the consent agenda items.  The motion passed unanimously.

There was no public comment.

The 2023-2024 budget was reviewed and some discussion took place.  The assessment will be $36 per person for the upcoming budget as previously suggested.  The budget passed unanimously.

A new interfacility transfer policy was reviewed and some discussion took place.  A motion was made and the policy passed unanimously.

Director Kowalke gave his monthly report.  516, the new ambulance, has arrived and the old ambulance will go to the auction by Appleton.  The building is moving right along with mudding and taping taking place.  The tentative schedule has the project finished by Labor Day.

The meeting closed with adjournment.
