Monthly Town Board Meeting
at 7:00 pm at Town Hall
Present: Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors, Kathy Schwartz,
Becky Meyer, Clark Thompson
- Call Meeting to order at 7:00 pm with Pledge of Allegiance. C. Allen called the meeting to order at 7pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Certify Open Meetings Law has been met. B. Meyer certified the meeting has been posted on the Town hall door and on the website.
- Adopt Agenda – Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
- Approve minutes from previous meeting. Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve the minutes with a few corrections.
- Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes. None
- CSM for Levi Troyer property located on Prairie View Drive for review and signatures. A CSM for Levi Troyer was presented for review. The property is located in Town of Westfield. This CSM was signed by Chair, Chad Allen and Clerk, Rebecca Meyer for notification purposes only.
- Application for the 2024-2025 Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP) project. Nick Brey has been emailed about this program and will come to our next meeting.
- Assessors Report by R. Meyer – Nothing to report
- Highway Report by C. Thompson –
- Talked to Nick Brey about the LRIP program on Herritz Rd. project. This needs to be advertised for two weeks and have an affidavit. Clark will notify Nick that the Board agreed in consensus to have him take care of it.
- There is 75 ft of sidewalk that needs to be replaced when the shop parking lot gets redone. Clark will call a few people with specs and get a few quotes.
- The dome light came on in the international plow truck. When winter is for sure over Clark will take it somewhere to get fixed.
- Clark was cutting brush on Herritz Rd. Mimi Wuest asked him to not cut near her driveway without contacting her first.
- 6-20 DOT wants an inventory of all culverts and bridges. DOT will pay the Town of Reedsburg $100 for every culvert / bridge. Clark figured there are about 10. There is paperwork that needs to be submitted by the end of the year. Clark will submit this paperwork.
- Clark is going to retire on October 31, 2024.
- Building Inspector (GEC) report by R. Meyer.
- Tim Curtin @ E6381A St. Rd 154 for a 3-car detached garage
- Julaine Meyer @ E7154 E. Reedsburg Rd for a Roof replacement
- Chairman / Supervisor Reports and comments
- Terri Connors – A Truck driver complained about the road being posted and he is being asked to drive from Grede to the landfill. Town chair will sign a letter stating it is approved for him to use that road for the business that needs to be conducted.
- Rebecca Klitzke – WTA meeting at Honey Creek Town Hall on Thursday, Feb 15th.
- Chad Allen – Letter from Brian DuValle about the Bryan Walsh property on County Rd V. An agreement has been made that they are allowed to park a maximum of 3 semi-trailers at the residence. Loganville School is for sale and in the Title, records show that 5 towns own the school. Towns of Westfield, Franklin, Freedom, Reedsburg, and Honey Creek along with Village of Loganville, all of Sauk County, WI. Building permits under $2500 need inspections that is why there are some permits issued for smaller projects.
- Town Clerk presentation of monthly bills and comments by R. Meyer. Motion by Connors / Klitzke. Motion Carried unanimously.
- Treasures Report and comments by K. Schwartz.
- Deposits - $1066.53 ($990 – Hall rent; $50 – Special Assessment Letters; $26.04 – Personal Property, $.49 cents – Mis Revenue tax escrow overpayment).
- Dates for Election – April 2, August 13 & Nov 5th
- Review upcoming dates: Plan Commission / Town Board
- Town Board and Plan Commission: March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10.
- Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting).
- Adjourn – Motion Klitzke / Connors @ 8:33PM.
