Reedsburg Area Ambulance Service Commission Meeting, January 14, 2020
The meeting began with a call to order, roll call, and certify compliance with Open Meeting Law.  After the approval of the agenda and the minutes from the November meeting, the financial statements were reviewed and approved.
Save awards were presented for the employees who assisted on a call where the individual was not breathing.  Breathing was restored and although life was not ultimately the result, the person did live for a few days in the hospital and the family was able to donate organs due to the work of the crew.
The Ambulance Service recently purchased three Zoll Ventilator units using funds from a state grant, donations, and the bowling tournament proceeds in addition to the Capitol Budget.  This purchase makes the Service consistent with the equipment that is carried on each of the ambulances.  These ventilators are used to breathe for the patient who is not breathing or for a patient who is having a difficult time breathing.
The director presented his monthly report and training and presented the annual report.  There is a new set of protocols from the Madison Emergency Physicians (MEP) that will be implemented as of February 1, 2020.  MEP provides medical direction for the Reedsburg Area Ambulance Service.
The new ambulance is due to arrive at the end of February.  There was some difficulty getting the van from Ford which prolonged the wait for the Ambulance Service.  The new ambulance will be a Ford Transit.
The DNR is still working on the ongoing land acquisition.  It is currently in the Easement Department and they are looking at the paperwork.
The meeting closed with adjournment.

Respectfully submitted,
Rebecca M. Klitzke
