Town of Reedsburg Minutes
Monday, April 13, 2026
Monthly Town Board Meeting @ 7:00 PM
at Town Hall located at 600 W. Main Street Reedsburg

All Items on the agenda are listed for discussion and possible motion

Present:  Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors, Kathy Schwartz, Brandon Wilmot, Becky Meyer.
Also Present:

  1.  Call Regular Town Board Meeting to order at 7:00 pm with Pledge of Allegiance. Chair, C. Allen, Called the Meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
  2. Certify Open Meetings Law has been met in accordance with §985.02(2)(a). Clerk, R. Meyer, Certify Open Meetings Law has been met in accordance with §985.02(2)(a) with being placed on the Town Website and on the Town Hall Door.
  3. Adopt Agenda.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adopt the April 13, 2026, agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
  4. Approve minutes from previous meeting.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to approve the minutes from the March 2026 meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.
  5. Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda (No action can be taken) Max 3 minutes.  None
  6. Discussion and possible motion Sand Hill Rd blind driveway sign. Jon Brantmeyer called and noted that the traffic level on Sand Hill Rd has increased since the cattle auction barn started business on County Rd S at the Engel farm.  Jon would like a blind driveway or reduced speed limit sign installed as there are Amish that live on that road.  Motion by Klitzke / Allen to install a blind driveway sign on S4888 Sand Hill Rd.  Motion carried unanimously.
  7. Credit Cards to receive tax payments. K. Schwartz received an email from County Treasurer to receive Credit Cards for Tax Payments.  Cost would be $350 extra. Consensus from the Town Board to leave things as is at this time.
  8. Highway Report - Brandon Wilmot

a.    Road Report – Culverts on Thieman Hill Rd and Coon Valley Drive have been replaced. Children at Play signs on Loganville Rd were installed.

b.    Driveway Permits – Michael Kozlowski @ S4719 Dunse Rd.

c.    Other comments – Tammy Green called about 5 or 6 semi’s on Golf Course Rd also requested a weight limit sign.  Brandon called Sauk County Sheriff about semi’s on N. Golf Course Rd. The Sauk County Sheriff Department will be on the lookout.  Received quotes on Lights on outside of Building Dusk to Dawn - Service Electric Lights - $950; Neuman Electric $885. Consensus to hire Neuman Electric to install Dusk to Dawn lights to match the current light.  Lawn Mower quotes 48 inch deck – Slama’s – Z330R - $4,199.00,  Z530M - $5,412. Mid State – Z330R - $3,825 – Z530M-$4,950.  Consensus to purchase the Commercial Z530M mower from Mid State Equipment for $4,950 and take the current mower to Gavin Auctions for the consignment auction.

b.      Supervisor I - Rebecca Klitzke – Nothing

       c.       Chair – Chad Allen – Road Tour was completed.

  8. Town Clerk - Becky Meyer

a.       Assessor (Holloway Appraisal) Report – None

b.       Building Inspector (GEC) Report. - None

c.       Monthly Vouchers - AP QuickBooks reports were emailed. Motion by Connors /   Klitzke to pay the monthly vouchers. Motion carried unanimously. 

d.       Other comments – Nothing

 9.  Treasures Report - Kathy Schwartz-reported by Becky Meyer

a.         Deposits - $1,465 ($300 – Hall Rent, $80- SA Letter, $35– Dog Licenses, $900 DOT Hall Rent, $100 – DOT Sign installation, $50 – Driveway Permit)

b.         ACH Deposits - $29,336.62 State of WI – General Transportation Aids

c.         Review Calendar Dates –

                                 i.          Plan Commission - May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10

                               ii.           Town Board - May 11, June 8. July 13, August 10

                              iii.          Hall Rentals and DOT & 4H Club.

                              iv.          Elections: August 11 & November 3

                                v.          Annual Meeting – April 21

                              vi.          Open Book- May 28 and BOR June 4

e.        Other comments – Letter is ready to be sent to renter with damage to the floor after obtaining Board signatures.
10.  Anything else reasonably related to the agenda. (No action can be taken at this meeting). Nothing
11.  Adjourn.  Motion by Klitzke / Connors to adjourn the April 2026 monthly meeting at 8:10 pm.
