Town Board Monthly Meeting

    PRESENT:  Chairperson-Carl Mundth, Supervisor I-Ervin Borleske, Supervisor II-Paul     Grosskrueger, Clerk-Rebecca Meyer, Treasurer-Linda Borleske
    ALSO PRESENT:  Clark Thompson, Chad Allen, Rebecca Klitzke, Terri Connors

1. Town Board Monthly meeting Called to order at 7:30 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance
2. Clerk Meyer certified that the meeting met the criteria of open meetings law by being published on the town website and posted on the door of the town hall.
3. Agenda was reviewed. Motion made by Supervisor Grosskrueger, seconded by Supervisor Borleske to adopt agenda.  Motion carried.
4. The Minutes were read from the June meeting. Motion by Supervisor Borleske, seconded by Supervisor Grosskrueger, to approve minutes with minor changes. Motion carried.
5. Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda.  No one spoke at this time.
6. Open Bids for Town Hall Windows.  Beaver Glass bid for three separate pieces of glass in each window - $5400.  Wisconsin Glass bid for three separate pieces of glass in each window - $5,960.  Motion by E. Borleske, seconded by P. Grosskrueger to accept the bid from Beaver Glass at $5,400.  Motion carried.
7. Resolution ACT 185 from the County Treasurer that the Resolution was approved to introduce property tax payers to allow additional time to pay their 2nd tax installment.  Motion by P. Grosskrueger, seconded by E. Borleske to approve the resolution with a roll call vote.  P. Grosskrueger - Yay, E. Borleske - Yay, C. Mundth - Yay.  Motion carried. Clerk Meyer will get a copy of the resolution to the County Treasurer Office.
8. Plan Commission Chairperson Linda Borleske gave an update on Plan Commission meeting.  There was a not Plan Commission meeting in June.   The next meeting would be July 27 for an individual that wants to open a home based business.
9. Assessor report - Nothing at this time
10. Highway report given by Clark Thompson
    1. Strapped on the gas tank on the white truck.
    2. Deck on the lawn mower was adjusted
    3. Maintenance has been done on a alot of machinery
    4. Old Loganville Rd should be completed on Wednesday or Thursday depending on rain.  No additional base will be needed. 
    5. Received a statement from Social Security that said Clark had not received any wages in 2008. The Social Security number was incorrect. This needs to be corrected.
    6. Received a call from the people that bought the Tourdot residence on Ski Hill Rd. that the corner is sharp and they would like people to slow down.  Clark installed 4 chevron signs on each side of the curve. 
11. Building Inspector Report: Building permits issued by GEC - by Clerk Meyer
    1. Brian Machovec @ E7248 S Oak Crest Drive for a deck addition
    2. Dennis Connors @ S3552 Old Loganville Rd for a raze SFR
    3. Bill Waser @ E7271 N Oak Crest Drive for Roof Mount Solar
    4. Rita Wagner @ S2768 Golf Course Rd for Service Upgrade
    5. Troy Breneman @ E5541 Hwy S for Shed & Electrical
12. Supervisors and Chairperson Reports:
    1. P. Grosskrueger - Supervisor II
       1. Focus on Energy form has been filled out and submitted.
       2. Steinhorst vs. Leister and cows getting out issue.
    2. E. Borleske - Supervisor I
       1. Old Loganville Rd. a lady called about a fireworks permit.
       2. Routes to Recovery Program submission date is July 1 - July 15.
    3. C. Mundth - Chairperson
       1. Firework permit was issued to Miquel Ruiz by Carl.
       2. Received a phone call from an individual for a permit on Friday night for a firework permit. 
       3. Firework permit was issued to Dan Knuth by Carl.
       4. Discussion on Steinhorst vs. Leister about cows getting out.
13. Clerk Meyer presented Monthly Bills to be paid. Motion made by Supervisor Grosskrueger seconded by Supervisor Borleske to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried.
    1. BOR Affivadits have been received and the booklet has been reviewed.
    2. Last month Ervin mentioned the newpaper postings should still occur until September as they have been. 
    3. Routes to Recovery Grant has been applied for
    4. Issued a fireworks permit to Dustin Gasser as requested by Carl.
    5. Discussion about paying family member that helped with Absentee ballot processing for the April Election. This time has been applied for through the Routes to Recovery Grant. Consensus vote to pay family helpers for the April Election.
    6. Discussion about election inspector and Chief Election Inspector wages for working during the pandemic.  By consensus to raise election workers pay from $10 per hour to $13 hour and the Chief Election Inspector from $12 hour to $15 hour for the remainder of this year.
14. Treasurer Report: Given by Treasurer Borleske  
    1. Deposit - $26,739.90 (General Transportation Aids)    
    2. Deposit - $141.86 - Managed forest      
    3. Deposit - $1,612.76  ($6 - GEC Building Permits, $292 - Private Sales, $50 - Driveway permit, $177.32 - Managed Forest grant, $1,087.44 - Private Sales)  
    4. Plan Commission: July 27 @ 7:30 pm.
    5. Town Board meetings: (Wed) August 12, Sept. 14, Oct. 12 @7:30 pm
    6. Open Book - Thursday, July 16 from 5pm -7 pm
    7. Board or Review - Thursday, July 23 from 6pm - 8pm
    8. Private Equip testing - July 23 from 5:15pm - 6:00pm
    9. Public Equip testing - July 29 from5:15pm - 6:15pm
    10. Set up Election hall - August 6
    11. Early Voting: August 6th from 5pm-7pm
    12. Election Dates: August 11, November 3
    13. Received used computer from the County at no cost. 
    14. Received a phone call about a hall rental on August 22.
15. Anything else reasonably related to the agenda.
16. Motion by Supervisor Grosskrueger, second by Chairperson Mundth to adjourn the monthly Town Board Meeting at 9:27 pm.  Motion carried.
