Town Board Monthly Meeting

 

            PRESENT:  Chairperson-Carl Mundth, Supervisor I-Ervin Borleske (Absent),Supervisor II-Paul Grosskrueger, Clerk-Rebecca Meyer, Treasurer-Linda Borleske  

          ALSO, PRESENT:  Clark Thompson, Rebecca Klitzke, Chad Allen

 

• Town Board Monthly Meeting Called to order at 7:30 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance
• Clerk Meyer certified that the meeting met the criteria of open meetings law by being published on the town website and on the door of the town hall.
• Agenda was reviewed. Motion made by Supervisor Grosskrueger, seconded by Chairperson Mundth to adopt agenda.  Motion carried.
• The Minutes were read from the November meeting. Motion by Supervisor Grosskrueger, seconded by Chairperson Mundth to approve minutes with minor changes. Motion carried.
• Anyone wishing to speak about a topic that is not on the agenda.  No one spoke.
• Plan Commission Chairperson Linda Borleske gave an update on Plan Commission meeting.  There was not a Plan Commission meeting in November. The next meeting will be January 25^th for a CSM.
• Caucus date has been set for Monday, January 18, 2021. 
• Discussion on becoming members of the Wisconsin Town Advocacy Council vs. Wisconsin Towns Association.  The Wisconsin Town Advocacy Council is more of a lobbyist group for Towns.  The membership is .25 per town resident, our membership fees would be $316.50.  This topic will be tabled until January and can be discussed while Ervin is here to put his opinion toward the topic.
• Discussion on future town hall repairs and garage repairs.  Craig Douglas from Beaver Glass called Carl and the Window frames arrived last week and the glass arrived today.  The windows should be installed probably next week.  The next thing that would be a priority is the shop lights.  Supervisor Grosskrueger recommended to go to 4 ft LED lights vs. 8 ft lights. Chairperson Mundth recommended to have the hall painted and also replace the ceiling tiles and add insulation.  Supervisor Grosskrueger will work on getting specs and possibly sealed bids on Lighting for the shop area.    
• Discussion on future equipment needs.  Clark said both trucks need to be replaced, The white 1 ton Dodge is a 1999 and the orange plow truck is a 2008. The sander needs to be replaced.  Snow plow needs to be replaced.  The dump box is good condition. Clark will do some research on some equipment.
• Assessor report – Contract renewal is 3 payments for a total of $7,800 yearly for next three years.  Motion by Chairperson Mundth, seconded by Supervisor Grosskrueger to accept the Holloway Appraisal contract renewal.  Motion carried.
• Ambulance report – David Allen reviewed  the ambulance virtual meeting agenda. 
• Highway report given by Clark Thompson.

v Peterson Sanitation sent a letter about having the roads plowed, salted and sanded before they will do any garbage pickup.

• Building Inspector Report: Building permits issued by GEC – report given by Clerk Meyer

• Brian Duvalle from the City sent an email about a CSM.

·                     Clerk Meyer presented Monthly Bills to be paid. Motion made by Supervisor Grosskrueger, seconded by Chairperson Mundth to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried.

❖The General Transportation Aids for 2021 is $106,670.52

·                     Treasurer Report: Given by Treasurer Borleske

❖Deposit - $3,499.10 Routes to Recovery Grant for Clerk computer

❖Deposit - $11,266.43 Routes to Recovery Grant for flooring

❖Deposit - $186.25 – ($160 – Hall rent, $26.25 – Recycling).

❖Town Board meetings: Jan. 11, Feb. 8 & March 8 @7:30 pm

❖Town Caucus – January 18 @ 7:30 pm

❖Plan Commission – January 25 @ 7:30 pm

❖Treasurer Borleske will not be re-running for town Treasurer in April.  She is officially retiring.

·                     Anything else reasonably related to the agenda.  No one spoke.

·                     Motion by Supervisor Grosskrueger, second by Chairperson Mundth to adjourn the monthly Town Board Meeting at 9:10 pm.  Motion carried.
